Derbyshire Education Supply are looking to appoint talented teaching assistants to join our team in Chesterfield/Alfreton due to high demand. We specialise in both day to day ad hoc work, full time and part time long term jobs from anywhere between 3-9 months. Work is available immediately.

We're looking for general teachings assistants, behavioural specialists and SEN specialists to work mainly across the S40/S41/S42/S45 postcodes at our schools in Chesterfield.

We currently have openings for people specialising in Foundation stage, Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2.

Elements of the job may include:

  • providing general support to the class teacher
  • working with small groups of children to provide literacy and numeracy support
  • using your initiative to assist the class teacher in devising effective behaviour management strategies
  • developing an understanding and close working relationship with pupils in need of additional support

In order to apply for this job you must:

  • be a qualified teaching assistant to level 2 or above, or have experience working in schools/nurseries
  • have some experience of working in schools or a TA related course
  • based in the UK
  • eligible to work in the UK
