This job is to start on 23/02/2026 but the start date but is negotiable. This will be for 1 full year to cover maternity but could extend beyond that, well into 2027.

Derbyshire Education Supply are looking to appoint a strong and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for our excellent, welcoming primary school in South Chesterfield, Derbyshire. The successful candidate should be comfortable across the primary age range and flexible enough to lead classes when necessary. The successful candidate will be expected to lead year 6 for one day per week, and will also lead other classes on occasions when other staff members are out of class. When not leading classes, the successful candidate will provide general support to various class teachers and undertake intervention type work.

We are looking to appoint a good or outstanding person with the ability to inspire pupils and create an engaging learning environment to assist them in the next stage of their development.

The school has a talented and supportive leadership team which will provide a high level of support.
