Derbyshire Education Supply are looking to appoint a talented teaching assistant in the Chesterfield (S41) area to start on or around 07/07/2025. 

The job is to work with a year 6 pupil on a one to one basis. The school is very welcoming, with an experienced team and strong support procedures in place.

Key Responsibilities:

· To work one to one and with small groups in year 6.

· To assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed.

· To adapt learning materials to meet individual student needs, ensuring they are fully engaged in the lesson.

· To help students develop confidence and independence both inside and outside the classroom.

· To support with classroom management and help maintain a positive and safe environment for all students.

We are looking for talented teaching assistants who can support children with complex and challenging behaviours, with:

· a passion for working with children with special educational needs.

· patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students.

· experience in a school or Nursery setting (preferred).

· an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

· flexibility and a positive attitude to adapt to different learning needs.
