Provide schools with a cost effective service

By keeping our own costs low and outsourcing our payroll, this allows us to pass on these significant savings onto schools, enabling you to release more money from your supply budget to spend on other areas that we hope will greater impact your pupil's learning.

Although our prices are typically lower than the majority of our competitors, we don't compromise on quality. We still pay our staff more than most agencies and provide an outstanding service, as well as a free phone number for schools. Our opinion is that agencies should be looking to reduce margins made from schools, as the more money available to improve our children's learning directly improves Derbyshire as a society.

Pay our staff strong, competitive rates of pay

We realise that in a competitive market, agency staff have a lot of choice when choosing an agency. Offering excellent rates of pay go a long way to ensuring we secure quality teachers and teaching assistants.

We also understand that in early 2010, Derbyshire County Council decided to discontinue their own supply service, which in turn meant that a lot of agency staff took a significant decrease in pay. We aim to bridge that gap as best we can so that supply staff are paid fairly and are valued for the crucial role that they provide.

Paying our staff on time

Many people take being paid on time for granted. Unfortunately this is not the case with all supply agencies. At D.E.S. we let our consultants control payroll instead of using overcomplicated pay systems. We guarantee all of our staff is paid on time as an unhappy employee is unlikely to perform to the best of their ability when in a school.
